The fourth quarter of 2021 saw notable performances from the top five consumer finance apps on the Android platform in Egypt. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.
BM Online experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking in the week of November 22 with approximately 13.4K downloads. Active users showed a slight decline from around 140K at the beginning of October to approximately 136K by the end of December.
NBE Mobile led in weekly downloads with a high of 19K at the start of October, although downloads dipped significantly to about 2.3K by November 22. Active users decreased steadily from around 134K in late September to roughly 107K by the end of December.
CIB Egypt Mobile Banking saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, hitting a peak of around 8.2K at the end of December. Active users showed variability, starting at approximately 135K in late September and ending at around 139K in December.
QNB Egypt Mobile Banking had a notable increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching about 5K in the final week of December. Active users also rose, beginning at approximately 54K in late September and peaking at about 62K by the end of December.
ALEXBANK Mobile Banking displayed a consistent rise in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at nearly 3.2K in the week of December 20, while active users grew from around 40K in September to approximately 46K by the end of the quarter.
